heimweh (2022)

In heimweh (2022) richte ich die Kamera auf das Leben meiner Freundschaften. Durch Video-Interviews und dokumentarische Fotografie entsteht ein kollektives Porträt, das von geteilten Erfahrungen, aber auch individuellen Perspektiven erzählt. Dieses Bild migrantischen Lebens in Deutschland ist von Fragen nach Herkunft, Zugehörigkeit und Selbstverortung geprägt. 
Das Projekt fungiert auch als Aufarbeitungsversuch: eine Einladung, Heimat als etwas zu verstehen, das im Austausch, in Erinnerungen und Beziehungen immer wieder neu entsteht.

In heimweh (2022) [homesickness], I turn the camera toward the lives of my friends. Through video interviews and documentary photography, I create a collective portrait that captures both shared experiences and individual perspectives. The work reflects on migrant life in Germany, shaped by questions of origin, belonging, and self-positioning.
At the same time, the project serves as a process of working through — an invitation to see home not as a fixed place, but as something continually reshaped through exchange, memory, and relationships.
